The Hidden Treasure page has been modified to put all MACNA-related information at the very top for your viewing pleasure. This year's three-day conference will be in Houston, Tx (Sept 22-24), and you won't want to miss it. Be sure to find me if you go. Oh, and enjoy the conference, I guess. Seriously, I can't imagine not going so if you are on the fence or simply unsure, bite the bullet, commit to it now and go. You won't regret it.
I've been wanting to make a video of the various corals in my tank, displaying their movement. A camcorder would do this beautifully, but I don't have one. Here's the best I can do with my Fuji S602Z. It shoots video, but not in macro mode, plus you can't use the zoom button once you start recording.
I'd suggest you Right Click, and Save As to your harddrive.

Reefcast Episode 7 is online and already quite a few people have participated in the contest. You only have a few days to email in your guess!
Today, while I had someone nearby & handy, we worked on the reef tank for a few hours. Some corals were moved, others were fragged for the propagation section, and others were set aside for this weekend's DFWMAS frag swap.
Big news! Evan has returned after a 10 week sabbatical, and we recorded Episode 7 of Reefcast today. Episode 6 should go online in the next 48 hours. Sorry for the long wait. Just remember, it is all Evan's fault. :D
Over the three day weekend, I spent time repainting the house. Finally.
Here's a new webpage (soon to be added to the Hidden Treasure page) about how to install a new (or replacement) sump under an existing reef tank. Plumbing is explained as well, and I hope it proves useful to you.
Install a new sump under your tank.
I finally got my new light suspended over the prop section of my sump last night. I wanted a small light that would fit nicely, not use tons of power, and be moveable. As people would come visit, I'd explain what I was wanting, and finally someone suggested I get a rolling drawer track. Bingo! :D
