A lil' paint can make a big difference.

After many years of living here, I was sick of the beige paint throughout my home. The livingroom needed something more.
While I was at it, the entry area, the dining area and the kitchen were given the necessary attention as well.

The main wall of the livingroom & dining area was covered with rattan or bamboo wallpaper that has been there forever.
I wanted this removed, and to make that my accent wall. A friend came over to help me texture it, which made it look even better.

It was a lot of work taking off the wallpaper, which took almost a day and two bottles of some product that really loosened up the adhesive.

And this took about a day to dry fully.

More about the red wall (Roasted Pepper, btw) below...

The livingroom was also painted.

Here are more images of the accent wall. I love it. The pictures really don't do it justice.

The kitchen was primed and painted.

And the entry way was repainted as well. It is small, so very tough to photograph.

Finally, all almond colored receptacles and switches were replaced with white ones as well as their coverplates.

There is still more to go, but it is great having the main living area done.
