Lots of pictures today

  • mean-greens-1200

Today, I only saw the new Mandarin twice, and the Porcelain Crab once. Hopefully all will go well in the days to come, and they'll be less shy and easier to find.

Here are a bunch of new pictures that I took recently:

This is the view from the right side of my 55g reef tank.

View from the left side of the same tank.

Baby Fungia (Plate coral) above.

Green Slimer displaying new growth finally

Green Starfish makes an appearance after 3 weeks of hiding. It was sold as a Green Linkia.

Macro of a Favite (Moon Coral)

The Favite was given to me as it wasn't doing well. Tissue is receeded in this image.
If you know a feeding technique for this coral, please let me know.

Beautiful Zoanthid Polyp. Apparently it tastes really good, because only one is left in my tank.

Everyone asks me what this coral is called. Beats me, but it is a nice Acropora. (Edit: Tricolor acropora)

]

I love taking pictures of this Ricordia. The colors beg for camera time. :)

Baby Brittle starfish. These are in my refugium.

A few nice Orange Zoanthids.

Marlin and Dory on the reef.

It's really tough for me to photograph this Hippo Tang.

The Acropora sp has new growth on the vertical branch. The Tang likes to stop here and check things out.

55g Reef tank, view of left side of tank.

55g Reef tank - view of right side of tank.

My red Goniopora has been expanding to fill the void. The neighboring Colt Coral seems to be okay.

29g Reef tank - too many Red Mushroosm, which I prune out when I'm motivated.

A pair of clownfish. I only added the smaller one recently and within 12 hours they were friends.

Green Starfish, identified as a Linkia at the LFS.

For some reason it extended or expelled some innards. I'm not sure why, but it continues to move about the tank.

These crazy colored zoos are beginning to open up nicely. Green center with Orange tentacles.

These zoanthids have a lime green center.

This is a multi-zoo rock that I hope to see covered in a few months.

Orange Montipora Capricornis continues to grow daily, and from above you can really see the varied layers or levels.
Started from a small 1" frag, it has quadrupled in size while fighting off cyano and stings from a Milliepora.

My 6 year old True Percula Clownfish.

This coral has continued to bleach and I'm going to have to frag the healthy parts soon if I hope to salvage any of this Acropora sp.

This is an Orange Target Mandarin. It is a little faded as it was acclimating after lights out, but I wanted to take a picture of it.

This is the same fish when I bought it at the LFS. I have a green Target (male) and hope they pair up.

This beauty is a Porcelain Crab. They live in and near anemones, and I couldn't pass this little guy up!

The pH has been going up steadily in my 29g, to the point that I no longer believed the meter. I tested it against a Salifert Test kit, and the meter was reading too high. Today it was 8.8 and rising.... turns out the 9v battery was exhausted. Once I replaced that, pH was 8.2 again. :)
