I've been wanting to make a video of the various corals in my tank, displaying their movement. A camcorder would do this beautifully, but I don't have one. Here's the best I can do with my Fuji S602Z. It shoots video, but not in macro mode, plus you can't use the zoom button once you start recording.
I'd suggest you Right Click, and Save As to your harddrive.
Corals in Motion (41 megs)
Ding Dong.
Finally. The UPS delivery I've been waiting for for weeks. I ordered a Kill-O-watt device on Dec 14, and never heard from the company again. I emailed them thrice, and still no reply. I got a statement on Saturday showing they got my money though.
Here's something new that I'd not seen before in my tank. I think this coral is possibly wanting to spread to a new spot in the tank. If I'm correct, this could be the indication of Polyp Bailout. Look at the top of this favia.
I want to thank everyone that took the time to call, email or PM their thoughts, suggestions, and personal (similar) experiences. It really was tough to accept my mistake, since it cost the lives of the animals I choose to care for on a daily basis. Day by day, I felt a little better and was able to accept the situation and focus on what I still have. The losses were terrible, because many were with me for many years and several are very difficult to replace due to their specific needs.
The suncoral page has been updated. So has the Pico tank page.
Fang, my clown goby, has been evicted from my 280g reef. It spent the last two days eating one of my new MACNA frags that Zenya had given to me. Watching it kill a perfectly healthy SPS coral is just sickening. Fang is now in Casper's tank, where it can perch on the zoanthids.
I picked up two more corals today. I can't help myself! They are so darn pretty, and they needed a new home, right?

Maze or Brain
I was able to capture another plate coral yesterday when it blew off the main skeletal structure. I put it in the Pico tank inside a Salifert beaker to keep it safe from being sucked into the pump.
Also, Casper seems to be changing colors somewhat. I think he looks nice. :)
Suncorals have become more popular recently, so I thought I'd post this in my Personal Logs again for any new visitors to my site.
Here is the link to my page about my Suncoral. Included are two links to other articles that are must-reads, in my opinion.
I have a video of my feeding it: Feeding a Suncoral 3.8 megs
