Livestock update

This morning, the Anthias came out for a few minutes, after not seeing it for the past 48 hours. I dropped in some food that it ate, but it is out of sight again. Still, I have hope that it will become a happy family member in the reef tank.

Several of the zoanthids in my 29g look like they are going to die back. Individual polyps look like someone tied a string very tightly around the top 1/8", as if to constrict any flow to the top (or head) of the polyp. I tried blasting them off with a turkey baster to see if anything was on them that might be fungus related, but I don't think this is the problem. If a few die back, I don't mind, because new ones can grow again. However, if they all die (each type of zoanthid) then I have a more serious problem to deal with.
