Occasionally you'll see worms, or pods, or just an empty tiny cavern to peer at, but this time I saw something different. This is a typical view, captured with my iPhone:</p> <p><img alt="dark-pockets-in-dsb" data-entity-type="file" data-entity-uuid="0593d090-8c35-4899-acd3-b3cb9ecd5d3d" src="/sites/default/files/inline-images/dark-pockets-in-dsb.jpg" width="773" height="579" loading="lazy" /></p> <p>But now that it caught my eye, I bent closer to get a good look. And I discovered valonia growing under the sandbed. That's somewhat hilarious to me. Spock loves eating it, so now I want to say she's hoarding it like a hamster in her bedding.  hahaha I'll have to unearth it so she can devour it.</p> <p><img alt="hidden-from-sight2" data-entity-type="file" data-entity-uuid="c6e5a935-d20f-4c4b-abbc-0616950372d5" src="/sites/default/files/inline-images/hidden-from-sight2.jpg" width="773" height="513" loading="lazy" /></p> <p>Never seen anything like it.
