My trip to Cleveland to speak to C-SEANovember 20 - 22, 2008: The Board of Directors from the Cleveland Saltwater Enthusiasts Association contacted me to come out and speak to their club... This trip included visiting a couple of stores in Columbus, a bunch of snow, and a visit to Savko. We stopped at my hotel after that trip to the east, bringing back some snow with us. The Bentley elicted comments from a few passerbys. It never moved during my stay. The lobby was very nice.
Jeff next took me to Sean's basement to see his in-progress 150g project. It is going to be in in-wall system. Temporary holding tanks for his livestock.
In the fishroom, he's going to have several tanks plumbed in for quarantine, refugium, species only, frag tank... The manifold is designed to feed several items with a single pump. The light rack rolls back out of the way, but tucks in nicely as it should. After the fun, we called it a night. The next day, snow plows were clearing the roads.
Due to the wintery weather, traffic was slow and it took a while for our group to gather up for the drive to Columbus. While I waited, I checked out the courtyard.
We started driving south, toward Kevin's house. He's rather remote, but it was so pretty.
This is the view he and his family have. Awesome, right? I'm so envious - I'd really love it there, if it wasn't so far from everything. I really prefer being near a Home Depot. ;) From his house, we got back on the highway and slowly traveled toward Columbus.
It took time, but with a van full of reef keepers, we had plenty to talk about. The roads cleared up as we drove out of the weather's reach. Once we reached Columbus, the price of gas quickly caught my eye. And again, even lower. In Texas, it was $1.74 and slowly dropping. Click to continue to next page
