I took some pictures of my 55g today, as everything looked so nice. Last month, I removed my Blue Atlantic Tang and my Blue Angel, and the entire aquascaping was changed in the process. The angel had been nipping at everything, and the tang was running around like the king, causing everyone else to hide in the rockwork. Once these two large fish were removed, all the other fish came out far more often, and all the corals have shown much improvement. |
Fighting Conch - its eye stalks clearly stand out, while it sifts the sand grazing for food.
Colt Coral - this fragged leather coral has shown great improvement with phytoplankton feedings.
Feather Dusters - now unbothered by predators, these seem very happy in strong current. Palyothoa in the background.
Devil's Hand - this soft coral has grown well since my Blue Angel was removed.
Rock (or Flower) Anemone - found in the rear of the tank, it begins to grow. Currently .75" diameter.
Target Mandarin - with amazing speed, this fish eludes my camera, but is quite fat and does eat frozen foods.
Royal Gramma, Six Line Wrasse, Rock Anemone, Star Polyps, Mushrooms and more.
Recordias - new to my 55g, this colony was given to me on 5/24/03
Acropora - this SPS has begun to attach to my overflow box. It is green with brown polyps, but the
camera can't capture it properly. This coral has been in my 29g with PC lighting for eight months.
